Open/close
reporting, available from Comtronics, offers an added level of security
for both your employees and your business. It is a highly customizable
feature, adding flexibility to your burglar alarm coverage and giving
you more control over it.
What
open/close reporting is:
Open/close reporting is a way to track every time someone arms or
disarms your alarm system. This information is then logged and is
available to you anytime you request it - if you have questions, simply
give Comtronics a call. Comtronics will even send out reports at
predetermined times (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) using the method of
your choice (fax, email, snail mail) upon request.
Comtronics can
also set up supervised schedules. Ever had an employee forget to arm
the alarm system at the end of the night? No problem! With supervised
schedules a signal is sent to the Comtronics
alarm center if an alarm system is not armed or disarmed at
the appropriate time. The alarm center will then call the location and
your call list to ensure that your business is secured.
Other
uses for Open/Close reporting:
- Restrict after hours opens/closes:
If you would like to restrict how long an employee can be in your
business after hours, the Comtronics alarm center can monitor the
opening and check for a closing after a certain length of time.
Comtronics can even monitor after hours opens based on the code used to
disarm the alarm. Let's say you would like to give your cleaning
company one hour to clean on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and you
want all other opens on all other days to get 30 minutes. This can
easily be accomplished with open/close reporting.
- Helps reduce false alarms:
If an employee trips an alarm and then arms or disarms the alarm system
without canceling the alarm, Comtronics can respond to the alarm
differently based on the signals sent to the alarm center. This
precision reporting is also helpful when explaining an alarm to a
responsible party or responding authority.
- Can be a deterrent from employee theft:
With open/close reporting, you are actually tracking your employees as
they arm and disarm your business. Should you ever have a question
about who was responsible for disarming the location during a given
time, Comtronics will be able to tell you who disarmed the alarm and
when they disarmed it. This can be an effective, preventative tool
against employee theft.
- Improves alarm maintenance:
Since your alarm system will be sending signals on a regular basis,
Comtronics will be aware of communication problems between your system
and the receiver at the alarm center. Any problems can then be handled
quickly and effectively by customer service.
